This is my patch of ground in the no man’s land of the world wide web, a place of shifting boundaries, contrary directions and unclear destiny.  Pretty much like life, really.

I will be building my own peculiar corner here, a fairly random and fragmentary collection of ideas, history, culture, science and technology.
